The Lafayette Inn has been named Restaurant of the Year.

At the Virginia Wine and Food Society banquet, the Virginia Winery Association presented the Lafayette Inn with the “Restaurant of the Year” award”. The Virginia

Wine Association and Virginia Food and Wine Association held a tasting of Virginia wines followed by a brief awards ceremony.

Awards were provided to the wine grower of the year, retailer of the year, wholesaler of the year, Legislator of the year and of course the Restaurant of the year. Also local wine maker, Gabriele Rausse was presented a “Lifetime achievement award”.

“We thank everyone for acknowledging the efforts we have put forth to promote Virginia wines, to deliver outstanding food and to cater for various groups and organizations. In every case we are committed to delivering quality food and the Virginia wine experience.”
