ART INSTITUTE STUDENT KERREESA ALLEN GETS CULINARY GRANT

Arlington, Va., November 28, 2006 – The Art Institute of Washington student Kerreesa Monique Allen was awarded a $1,000 Culinary Grant on behalf of Chef2Chef, LLC organization. Close to two-hundred applications and essays were reviewed, and while all of the students deserved a grant. The organization narrowed down the recipients to 12 culinary students around the United States. The Chef2Chef Scholarship Fund was established in 2003 to assist culinary students in need of financial assistance. To qualify for the grant, Ms. Allen had to complete a grant application form, along with a 500-word essay, demonstrate financial need and attend a school or institution offering an accredited culinary program at the time of the award.
