NESTLÉ EMPLOYEES BEAUTIFY BALBOA PARK IN TEAMBUILDING EVENT

SAN DIEGO (Feb. 5, 2007) — One person might make a small difference, but hundreds of people can have a big impact. With that in mind, 320 Nestlé FoodServices employees took part in volunteer beautifying projects such as cleaning up graffiti, picking up trash, and clearing brush in San Diego’s Balboa Park on Jan. 17 as a company teambuilding event. Organized by Volunteer San Diego, the teambuilding activities were a component of the company’s 2007 strategic planning meeting.

“Nestlé is an active corporate citizen, so we added a community aspect to our teambuilding event with the goal of showing how teamwork can make immediate, positive changes to the world around us,” said Kathy Lenkov, communications manager for Nestlé FoodServices North America.

In addition to the Balboa Park beautification projects, Nestlé volunteers created Valentine’s Day cards for hospitalized veterans.
