Mrs. Renfro’s Goes
Pink!
Salsa manufacturer launches
breast cancer awareness campaign
FORT WORTH, Texas – Yes, those are pink lids you’re seeing on Mrs. Renfro’s gourmet salsas. While October is officially designated as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Renfro Foods is getting a head start with the launch of its pink lid campaign in helping promote breast cancer awareness, the importance of early detection and joining the ongoing fight to wipe the disease out.
During the months of April (Cancer Control Month) and October 2007, grocery stores nationwide carrying Mrs. Renfro’s will be stocked with the specially selected pink lid products. A portion of the proceeds will go to breast cancer research. Those products include Mrs. Renfro’s Green, Mango Habanero, Black Bean, Raspberry Chipotle, Habanero and Peach salsas.
“We believe this is a great way to bring attention to breast cancer awareness,” says Doug Renfro, president of Renfro Foods. “We all have a story to tell and have all been personally touched one way or another by this disease, whether it be a family member, a friend or business colleague. “Renfro Foods is proud to play our part in this fight.”
Renfro Foods, founded in 1940, is a third generation family run business celebrating its 67th year. Renfro’s manufactures a variety of salsas, sauces and relishes, including 26 Mrs. Renfro’s products distributed through supermarkets, gourmet food stores and gift shops in all 50 states, the Caribbean, Canada and England. Every Mrs. Renfro’s salsa comes with a tasty, easy to use recipe on the label for quick meal ideas, which provide a timesaving and fast solution for anyone on the go who want to create a healthy and terrific meal in minutes without spending hours in the kitchen. A big plus is that only natural ingredients are used and its price is easy on the budget, too. A 16.oz. jar retails between $2.69 and $2.99.
