IFDA NAMES TYSON FOODS, INC. SUPPLIER OF THE YEAR
SPRINGDALE, Ark. (March 1, 2007) ─ For the second straight year, Tyson Foods, Inc. was awarded the Supplier of the Year by the International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA) at the IFDA Partners Executive Forum held Feb. 11 in Amelia Island, Florida.
“It is such an honor for Tyson Foods to receive this award for the second year,” said Bernard Leonard, Group Vice President of Foodservice. “We work hard to be accessible to distributors and give them the information they need to sell our products. We understand the importance of equipping them with the right information for us to be successful in the foodservice industry.”
Each calendar year IFDA performs a survey of its distributor membership to rate the effectiveness and performance of foodservice supplier companies in five key business areas. These are how effectively the supplier companies convey product information, how they work with distributor sales force, how effectively they communicate advertising and promotional information, the availability of company representatives for handling account issues, and the quality of sales training material. Tyson Foods was selected from a field of more than 50 suppliers for this prestigious award.
