3rd Annual Chef Splendido Talent Search - Deadline April 20th

For the third consecutive year, the SPLENDA Brand is conducting the “Chef Splendido” Talent Search.  The SPLENDA Brand invites aspiring, bi-lingual (English/Spanish speaking) chefs in Los Angeles, Houston, New York and Miami to take part by creating a unique Latino-inspired dessert and complementary (non-alcoholic) beverage using SPLENDA Sweeteners.

Bi-lingual students (English/Spanish speaking) attending or recently graduated (3 years) from culinary school and residing in Los Angeles, Houston, New York or Miami are eligible for entry.
Interested culinary students must submit completed entry to the culinary instructor, public relations and/or culinary directors’ office at their culinary school, institution, or program no later than April 20, 2007.
- The SPLENDA Brand will review the submitted entries and select the four (4) finalists (one per market – Los Angeles, Houston, New York and Miami) by May 11, 2007.   
- The finalists will advance to the 2007 “Chef Splendido” national taste-off competition to be held in Miami on August 1, 2007.
- The finalists will be flown to Miami on July 30, 2007.   

“Chef Splendido” 2007 Winner
- Grand prize of $5,000.
-  One-time mentorship with a celebrity chef who has worked with the SPLENDA Brand.
-  Set of professional knives.
-  National and hometown publicity opportunities via public relations efforts.
