April 9, 2007, Houston, Texas Bob’s Steak & Chop House, 1801 Post Oak Boulevard, will be having a pre-opening reception celebrating the 35th Anniversary of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UT-HSCH) Wednesday, April 11, 2007. During the evening, proprietor Ed Toles of Bob’s Steak & Chop House will present UT-HSCH with a donation in the amount of $10,000.00, benefiting their new Surgical & Clinical Skills Center at UT-HSCH. Bob's Steak & Chop House, established in 1993, is one of America's Top Steakhouses, and brings its signature old world elegance, prime aged beef, fresh seafood and exemplary service to Houston's most famous restaurant address in the heart of the Galleria area. Other locations include Dallas, Plano and San Francisco.   

 

The pre-opening celebrations will also include a display of new simulators, computerized mannequins that are now being used for operating practice from the state-of-the-art Surgical & Clinical Skills Center at UT-HSCH, which combines an established clinical training program with sophisticated medical simulation and surgical skills training in one learning center. Medical students, residents and physicians practice complicated procedures in a realistic setting to instill a level of excellence that will translate to the patients they serve.

 

Bob's Steak & Chop House Houston will be donating $5,000.00 and Bob's Steak & Chop House Corporate will be donating $5,000.00 to UT-HSCH.
