Key Focus of Americas Food & Beverage Show, October 29 – 31 in Miami, Now Celebrating 10th Year

A Decade of Commercial Success, This Trade-Only Show Brings New Products to The US

The key ingredients cooking up continued success for the Americas Food & Beverage Show, set for October 29 – 31, 2007 in Miami, include hemispheric trade, buyer/seller meetings, new products and import/export opportunities, all sprinkled with fun, sun and a taste of food trends of the future.

MIAMI, FL   The Americas Food & Beverage Show, October 29 – 31 in Miami Beach, is the largest Americas-focused trade show in the world for the F&B industry.  Now celebrating its tenth anniversary year, the Americas Food & Beverage features more than 300 exhibitors from 28 countries introducing 80 to 100 new- to-market products ready for import or distribution.   Organizers are expecting to attract a minimum of 4,000 to 5,000 international visitors this year with qualified buyers and decision-makers across the full spectrum of food retailing, distribution, hospitality/culinary arts and food services.

“This show always stands out from the huge choice of shows each year. What makes us different is the singular focus on matching buyers with sellers; importers with exporters,” according to Charlotte Gallogly, show founder. “Everything is structured to facilitate introducing new products, tastes and food trends from around the world to US food professionals and food service providers."
Of the 80 to 100 new products to be showcased during the exhibition, many are from Latin America, reflecting the global trend towards authentic Latin foods and flavors.

“With consumer interest in Latin foods increasing at the retail level, as well as in food service areas, this show presents an unequaled opportunity for buyers and importers to meet one-on-one with a wide range of sellers, and to do it in the port city of Miami, the shipping gateway to all of Latin America and the Caribbean,” adds Jelena Meisel, show director.

In addition to Latin America, the Caribbean, the United States and Canada, participation in this year’s show is confirmed for Southeast Asia and Europe.

A few highlights of the show are educational Seminar Conference Sessions (schedule attached); the Sixth Annual New Product Awards and the Third Annual America’s Chef Competition. Topping the list for exhibitors are the one-on-one, prearranged business appointments organized through ECRM (Efficient Collaborative Retail Marketing).  ECRM are arranged prior to the show, and are based on matching the right buyer with appropriate sellers.

Other on-site events add extra dimensions of fun to the business underpinnings of the trade show.   Still, as Charlotte Gallogly points out, “What’s more fun than inking  a contract for new business?”
