Vino 101 Launches “Beer & Spirits” Beverage Training Program

Baltimore, MD/August 27, 2007– Vino 101, LLC proudly launched “Beer & Spirits” on Monday as a companion product to its “Introduction to Wine” on-line training. The “Beer & Spirits” beverage training program is specifically designed for employees of the foodservice and hospitality industry.

The e-Learning tutorial consists of four lessons, covering the topics of Beer, Distilled Spirits, How to Make Drinks (Mixers, Garnishes & Glassware) and Sales and Service Strategies (Common Cocktails, Language and Techniques). Built with a student-centered approach to learning, “Beer & Spirits” includes text, audio, Flash animation, video, an extensive glossary and interactive learning activities and is ideal for any foodservice employee charged with interacting with customers or serving alcoholic beverages.

The beverage training program concludes with a 20-question final assessment and provides a Certificate of Achievement for successful completion. Supplemental resources are also provided and students/employees can flexibly access the course from any computer with an Internet connection, whether at their place of employment or off-site. The student’s performance is tracked and monitored through Vino 101’s enterprise-class Learning Management System which stores all employee training information and can be accessed by executive and management level staff to view individual or company-wide training data.
