Because my husband and I both suffer from carpal tunnel syndrome, I thought this would be a great product for our kitchen. I took it home, unwrapped the packing, and tested it with a jar of salsa. It was effortless. All I had to do was press a button. As for the can opener, I had to play around with that a bit to get the rim to line up with the blade correctly with a large can. Once I got it positioned right, it worked like a charm. I haven't used the bottle opener yet, but know that it is for metal caps only. The appliance comes with a set of instructions that were clear and easy to understand.
